The new British Institute Professional Development Skills Programme spans over
five weeks, with each week dedicated to a specific aspect of professional growth,
ranging from networking to presentations.

The breakdown of the course is as follows:
Module 1: Networking Participants will learn strategies for identifying relevant
individuals to engage with, mastering the art of joining and sustaining conversations,
and crafting effective follow-up communications to nurture new connections. The
module culminates in a practical role-playing exercise to reinforce key concepts.
Module 2: Business Writing Participants will delve into the intricacies
of professional email correspondence, covering topics such as appropriate email
openings and closings, language register considerations, and the principles of clear
and concise communication. The module also addresses email organization for
maximum impact.
Module 2: Telephoning and Conference Calls This module explores best practices
for participating in both video and telephone conference calls. Topics include
essential phrases for effective communication, pre-call preparation strategies for
client interactions, and techniques for addressing and resolving common call-related
challenges through simulated scenarios.
Module 4: Client Meetings Focusing on initial client interactions, this module
emphasizes active listening skills, adept questioning techniques, and the significance
of nonverbal cues. Participants will also learn how to provide tailored advice and
document meeting outcomes through comprehensive follow-up notes.
Module 5: Presentations The final module centers on the art of crafting and
delivering compelling presentations. Topics include structuring presentations with
engaging introductions, cohesive main points, and impactful conclusions.
Participants will also learn to create visually appealing yet straightforward visual aids
and effectively handle audience questions and feedback post-presentation.
