Membership of the British Institute

The British Institute’s Library and Cultural Centre in Palazzo Lanfredini is a delightful retreat from the hustle of life in Florence.  Many international residents and visitors see it as a home from home, a place to stop by for a moment, read a book or browse the periodicals … or simply catch up on email (the wi-fi is great!)  By becoming a Member, you have access to the Library whenever it is open (Monday to Friday 14:30-18:30), and also have borrowing rights to our vast book collection.

Patron and Gold Members also enjoy special access and discounts for our wide range of events and our courses in Art History and Italian language.

Non-members are of course welcome to attend events and courses at will,  but taking out a Membership is a great option for those who value the Institute and expect to participate frequently.

It is also a great way to show your support for the Institute.
