Monuments of Medieval Florence

Take a walking tour through Florence's early history, from its Roman origins to its medieval expansion including early churches, fortifications, guild palaces and centers of medieval commerce. Key sites include the Florence Baptistery, with its Romaneque architecture and stunning medieval sculpture, including Andrea Pisano's bronze doors, and the Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore), where you'll see the final embodiment of Arnolfo di Cambio's original design.
