Mariotto Albertinelli (1474 - 1515)

The lecture examines the artistic contributions of Mariotto Albertinelli, often overshadowed by his more famous collaborator, Fra Bartolomeo. The session dissects his "San Marco" style—a blend of High Renaissance classicism, monumental drapery, and clear geometry. It highlights how Albertinelli's work represents the "orthodox" style that younger artists like Pontormo would eventually rebel against.
