Virtual Event - Portraits and Selfies : the evolution of tourism in Florence
by Simon Gammell
In this entertaining talk, Simon explores the phenomenon of international tourism to Florence from the days of Shakespeare, via the Grand Tour, to the cruise ship day-trippers from Livorno.
The talk will last about 30 mins, and will be followed by a discussion using the power of video conferencing.
We recommend that you treat yourself to a glass of wine to enhance the occasion – just like a regular Wednesday at Palazzo Lanfredini!
We request that you make a donation (however much is comfortable for you) if you wish to participate in the session. Your donations will help keep the Institute afloat at this difficult time; and we will give 50% of the money we receive to "Il Cuore di Firenze Foundation" who are raising funds for urgently needed ventilators in Florence.
Thank you for your support
