The Villa Farnese at Caprarola and its gardens

Professor Paul Gwynne of the American University of Rome looks at what is probably the most beautiful and splendid residence in northern Lazio, built for the Farnese family in the earlier sixteenth century, the Villa Caprarola not far from Viterbo. He also considers the magnificent gardens.
