The Tower that Giotto never built

Virtual Wednesday Lecture, on Zoom

by Jeremy Boudreau

With its glistening marble, graceful tracery and soaring views the Florentine cathedral’s bell tower has summoned worshipers to the Piazza del Duomo for nearly seven centuries.   We explore the building and decorative history of Giotto’s final enterprise and one of Florence’s most important monuments.
