The limits of medicine

with Duncan Geddes and Tonino Pieri

Professor Duncan Geddes of The Imperial College in London and Professor Tonino Pieri of Firenze discuss the limits of modern medicine. In spite of new near miraculous treatments modern medicine is at a crossroads, doing harm as well as good. People often expect too much and when doctors fail there is loss of trust and increased litigation. The solution lies in a better understanding of the limits of medicine and better collaboration between doctor and patient.

The lecture will be followed by wine and snacks.
