Pinocchio in Florence

Wednesday Lecture, on Zoom and at the British Institute Library

by  Anna Kraczyna and John Hooper

Few people know that Carlo Collodi, a Florentine and the creator of Pinocchio, used real places and people from his everyday life for his masterpiece. But where are those places and who were those people? Anna Kraczyna and John Hooper whose new and extensively annotated translation of The Adventures of Pinocchio is published by Penguin Classics this month, reveal the answers in a talk that will fascinate native and adopted Florentines alike.
