On Tuesday 19 March at 16.30 in the Library of the British Institute of Florence (lungarno Guicciardini 9), the famous US author JHUMPA LAHIRI will present the new Penguin Book of Italian Short Stories, which she has edited. This wide-ranging selection includes well known authors such as Italo Calvino, Elsa Morante and Luigi Pirandello alongside many captivating new discoveries. More than a third of the stories featured in this volume have been translated into English for the first time, several of them by Jhumpa Lahiri herself.
