Ferdinando Tacca: a theatre cast in bronze

The sculptor and scenographer Ferdinando Tacca was born in Florence in 1619, eldest son of the better known Pietro. This talk focuses on his most important sculptural work, the relief he made for the high altar of the church of Santo Stefano.
Dr Brook is an independent scholar specialising in 17th-century Florentine sculpture.
