An Englishman in New York

Lecture in English by Bill Jacklin

Bill Jacklin R.A. is an English painter living and working in New York City. He says: ‘You are in a space where anything can happen. It’s a contradictory arena. I didn’t leave to become a New Yorker, but I stay because it still excites me’. His images of skaters at Rockefeller Center, Coney Island bathers and teeming crowds at Grand Central Station brilliantly capture the city’s elemental beauty and drama.
