Revisiting Vinci: Legends and letters from Leonardo’s childhood

Jeremy Boudreau explores the circumstances of Leonardo’s birth and lineage through a survey of entertaining tall tales and recently published primary documents concerning his family and earliest years in the Tuscan countryside.
