Piano Recital by Filip Michalak

 

In our latest collaboration with theKeyboard Trust (UK), we are thrilled to present the brilliant young Danish/Polish pianist Filip Michalak in concert in the Library, with a delightfully diverse repertoire:

Filip Michalak is one of the leading pianists in Scandinavia and has performed across Europe, USA and Middle East.  He has signed a contract with Orpheus Classical Label to record a CD with works by Szymanowski, Bacewicz and Chopin. Recently he performed Chopin’s 2nd Piano Concerto with a string orchestra in Poland and is going to tour in USA in March 2024, performing solo recitals and Brahms’ 1st Piano Concerto with the Manchester Symphony Orchestra.   In September 2024 he will be the guest artistic director of the Aalborg Chamber Music Festival.
