Gifts (or Donations) are given freely to the British Institute of Florence charity, with no contractual benefits or recognition in return.

Although we are always delighted to receive unrestricted donations, gifts can of course be credited to certain specific activities, for example:

• the Cultural Programme
• the Art History programme
• the Library
• the Director’s post
• the Librarian’s post
• the Head of the Head of Art History’s post

Where possible we encourage gifts that cover three or more years, to allow us to plan with confidence. For UK tax payers, we can operate the Gift Aid scheme to enhance the value of donations. We also work with CAF for both UK and USA tax payers.

Every gift helps and you can support in different ways:

• Online at JustGiving. This user friendly online donations site automatically offers the Gift Aid option to UK tax payers when they set up a payment in GBP.  Please do use this option if you can, as it adds 25% to the value of your Gift!
• For UK Tax Payers through CAF UK.  CAF also offers the Gift Aid option when you set up a payment in GBP – please use it if you can! 
• For US Tax Payers through BSUF, our wonderful 501c3
