A lecture by Mark Roberts
Palazzo Lanfredini was built in the early sixteenth century by Baccio d'Agnolo for Lanfredino Lanfredini, a prominent citizen of Florence. In the 1920s a part of it was bought by the Acton family, and it later became the seat of the British Institute's Library. Mark Roberts investigates the sometimes surprising entwined history of the Palazzo and the Institute.
