Jan Noble: Shelley 200

In 1822 Percy Bysshe Shelley, one of the legendary romantic poets, drowned at sea off Livorno.  To mark the bicentenary of this tragic event, British writer-performer Jan Noble performed a thrilling dramatic monologue Shelley 200, which he addressed to the memorial bust of Shelley at Viareggio.  A year on we are excited to welcome Jan to Florence as part of a tour of Italy presenting Shelley 200 - exactly 100 years after Shelley’s ashes and heart were  interred at the English Cemetery of Rome.
