Whether you are new to Florence or a seasoned visitor, it is not always easy to orientate yourself when you first arrive. At the British Institute we try and make every stage of your stay as easy as possible. Our staff is on hand to advise you about your choice of course before you enrol and once you get to Florence we will help you find your way around the city and make you feel at home at the Institute. If you’re coming to Florence for the first time, particularly from outside Europe, it is not unusual to experience a certain amount of culture shock. While you will doubtless marvel at the beauty of the city and its art, you may also encounter some things you were not expecting. This is all part of the adventure of a new country and different culture and we will do our best to make your stay in Florence an experience that you will cherish long after you leave.
