Meet the Author - Sarah Winman

Still Life

 

Sarah Winman is an award winning actress and novelist.  After a successful career as an actress ni mainstream British television,  she published her first novel , When God was a Rabbit, in 2011. It became an international bestseller and won Winman several awards including New Writer of the ear in the Galaxy National Book Awards .  She has published three further novels to great acclaim. 

Still Life published earlier this year is a story of love, life and art spanning several decades starting with the liberation of Florence in 1944.

The evening will be in two linked parts:

At 17:30 (CET) Simon Gammell will chair a session for people who have read Still Life to discuss it direct with the author, Sarah Winman.  This will be the ultimate Book Club experience.

After a short interval, we will resume at 18:30 when Kamin Mohammadi (author of Bella Figura) will talk to  Sarah about her life and her work.

We will finish the evening up with a glass of wine for those who can attend live in the Library, as tradition demands!
