Meet the Author - Vanessa Nicolson

Angels of Mud

Vanessa Nicolson has lived between Florence and England since childhood.  She is the granddaughter of Vita Sackville-West, Virginia Woolf’s lover, and her life has been marked by tragedy and dislocation, alongside this extraordinary literary heritage.

These themes are explored in her debut novel Angels of Mud, partially set in Florence during the 1966 flood.

“What a fabulous book this is!”  (Good Reads)

The evening will be in two linked parts:

After a short interval, we will resume at 18:30 when Kamin Mohammadi (author of Bella Figura) will talk to Vanessa about her life between Florence and England and her work.

We will finish the evening up with a glass of wine for those who can attend live in the Library, as tradition demands!
