The boy bishop, the feast of fools and the feast of asses

27 November 2019 - 18:00

di Mark Roberts

In the Middle Ages a child chorister was elected bishop for one day on the feast of the Holy Innocents. The ceremonies associated with him and with two other feasts that recurred around the same time are described by Mark Roberts, who since his retirement continues to organise the Institute’s cultural programme.

The lecture will be followed by wine and snacks.
