Renaissance food and banqueting

Renaissance banquets were a performance, the tables groaning under the weight of elaborate dishes designed to arouse the admiration of the guests and express the grandeur of the host. Tessa Capponi’s ancestors were protagonists in such spectacles, so she is well placed to tell us some delicious stories!
The lecture will be followed by wine and snacks.
