Renaissance Florence
Masterpieces of Art and Architecture

Course Description: Offered exclusively during select periods of the year (April and December), this intensive three- to four-week programme serves as the ultimate introduction to Florentine art history. It distills three centuries of genius into a single, high-impact narrative, tracing the "Golden Thread" of the Renaissance from its medieval roots to its Mannerist culmination.
Students will embark on a chronological journey that begins with the spiritual awakening of the Trecento, explodes with the scientific discoveries of the Quattrocento, and concludes with the dynastic splendor of the Cinquecento. Designed for those seeking a comprehensive overview in a condensed timeframe, this course combines our most popular lectures with essential off-site visits, offering a "best of" experience that highlights the masters who defined Western art: Giotto, Brunelleschi, Botticelli, Michelangelo, and beyond.
