The apprenticeship and early lives of Leonardo and Michelangelo: a comparison

Alan Pascuzzi

Along with most all artists of the Renaissance, both Leonardo and Michelangelo started out as apprentices in the workshops of Masters (Verocchio and Ghirlandaio).  Leonardo never denied his early training, but Michelangelo liked to pretend otherwise.   Alan Pascuzzi explores the early careers of the two great ‘geniuses’ to reveal the truth of their humble beginnings.

The lecture will be followed by wine and snacks.
