Wireless and computer facilities

Free New Service

Library members have free access to wireless and computer facilities at the Library. Members may use their laptops to access our wireless system, alternatively the Library is equipped with 4 PCs which provide access to our wireless network and Microsoft Office™. Please note that in order to comply with Italian law you are required to provide us with your ID and your address, if you cannot provide this we are unable to permit use of the internet.

Interlibrary loan service

We provide an interlibrary loan service with the British Library in the UK.

Who can use the service?

Our annual, six month and three month members.

What can be requested?

Books and photocopies of journal articles which are not held either by us or any other library in Florence.

How much does it cost?

  • € 19.50 per journal article
  • € 37.50 per book

How do I place a request?

You will need full written bibliographical details of the item you wish to order, including page numbers for journal articles. Also, please provide your telephone number and/or email address, so that we can contact you when your item arrives at the Library.

How long does it take?

3 weeks

When do I pay?

Payment is due on collection of the item from the Library. If the request cannot be fulfilled, then no charge will be made.
