The Friends are a valuable source of support for the Library in helping with the organisation of events such as Shakespeare week and the annual Christmas bazaar and also assisting with the re-shelving of books and other library tasks.
The Friends meet at least twice a year and entry is open to any Library member. Further details can be obtained from the Library staff.
The Friends also organise the Reading Exchange, an informal get together to discuss favourite books. The Reading Exchange meets a few times a year in the Library.
