100 Treasures in Florence
From 5 - 10 June 2017, and again from 18 - 23 September 2017, the British Institute of Florence will offer a special ten-session course to celebrate one hundred Florentine masterpieces with visits to museums and monuments throughout the city. Beginning with Florence's prized collections of Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan and Roman antiquities, 100 Treasures in Florence will give an overview of important medieval monuments, paintings and sculptures of the Renaissance and the age of the Medici Grand Duchy (often referred to as Florence’s forgotten centuries) and continue onward still to the important impressionist, futurist and contemporary works of Florence.
