The Renaissance Series: month-long courses
The Early Italian Renaissance
This course exlores the groundbreaking Italian artists of the fifteenth century, focusing on the works of Donatello, Brunelleschi, Masaccio, Fra Angelico and Botticelli. Several classes are held onsite in museums, galleries and churches to see artworks at first-hand. You will also learn about the rise of the Medici family, humanism, Renaissance painting techniques and materials, and the evolution of linear perspective. It is possible to combine this programme with Italian language and/or Life Drawing.
Note that, depending on museum opening times, occasional site visits may be scheduled in the morning including Saturday
Please note that classes will not be held on the following national holidays and hours for that week will be reduced accordingly:
